Allgem Special Order Terms & Conditions

Special Orders

A 50% deposit must be paid for all special orders. Special orders include custom makes, remakes, and custom orders for gemstone, chain, bangle, and wedding band orders. Allgem Jewellers will only begin manufacturing when minimum of 50% of the agreed quoted price has been received in-store. Title to and property of the goods will not pass to the Customer until the purchase price has been paid in full.

Client Supplied Stones

Any stone(s) supplied by the client will undergo a mandatory gemmological analysis and valuation to determine their retail replacement value. A fee of AUD $100 will be charged for this service.

Insuring the stone(s) is optional at an added fee of 10% of the total assessed value of the stone(s). This fee covers potential repair or replacement costs of the stone(s) in the event that the stone(s) are damaged or lost while in the care of Allgem Jewellers.

Allgem Jewellers will not be held liable for repair or replacement costs of uninsured stone(s) in the event that the stone(s) are damaged or lost while in their care.

The client acknowledges, understands, and accepts that there are risks associated with setting their supplied stone(s).

Cancellation

Once the deposit has been received in-store. Allgem Jewellers will commence sourcing & manufacturing components for the special order. If you wish to cancel the order Allgem Jewellers may, at its sole discretion, elect to withhold the 50% deposit paid to cover their costs. Upon termination of a special order the goods may be returned to stock and the customer will have no claim to the goods.

Exchanges

Should you request to exchange a special order within the 7-day exchange period after completion:

The goods must be in As New Condition and be accompanied by proof of purchase, original packaging and with all original documents which includes certificates and valuations; Goods may not be returned once they have been engraved and/or resized. Returns may not be accepted for custom-made pieces, including custom-fitted wedding bands, personalised jewellery, initial and family crest pieces. The balance paid will be credited towards another item of stock, as deposit to a new special order, or as a non-refundable credit note to be used in-store.

Refunds and Returns

Allgem Jewellers are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

You may be eligible for a refund if an item has a major problem, which may include but is not limited to:

– A defect or issue that would have stopped someone buying the item had they known about it

– The item is unsafe

– The item is significantly different from the sample or description

If we determine that the issue with the item is minor, we will repair the item within a reasonable timeframe. If we are unable to repair the item within a reasonable timeframe, you may choose a replacement or to have it refunded.

Refunds will only be made to the payment method used for the original purchase.

Warranties

Allgem Jewellers offers a 36-month limited jewellery warranty for quality and workmanship from the date of collection.

Damage resulting from the mistreatment of jewellery, standard wear, and accidental loss is not covered by this warranty. We do not offer additional care plans or insurance.
